"The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) announced that certain unemployed Colorado workers who have otherwise exhausted their benefits may qualify for six additional weeks of federally funded “Tier IV” benefits. States with an average unemployment rate of 8.5 percent or higher for three consecutive months qualify for additional unemployment compensation funds from the federal government, and Colorado has met this threshold.Colorado’s unemployment rate stood at a seasonally adjusted 8.8 percent as of last month and remains slightly below the national average..."
